    Governor Dr Kambhampati leads the tribute to Martyrs on the 22nd Kargil Vijay Diwas

    Aizawl, the 26th July 2021: This morning, joining the nationwide celebration of the victory by the Indian Army at the Kargil War on July 26, 1999, Governor Dr Haribabu Kambhampati paid tribute to our fallen heroes at the War Memorial, Zodin Square in the state capital.

    The Wreath Laying ceremony in honour of the Martyrs of the Kargil War was held at the War Memorial, Zodin Square with the Governor and the soldiers of 2 AR Lakhimpur Bn doing a ceremonial salute to the fallen heroes. Afterwards, Governor Dr Haribabu Kambhampati then inspected Quarter Guard ( Unit HQ 2 AR Lakhimpur Bn) wherein he was briefed of valour and sacrifices of the fallen heroes whose names have adorned the wall and the war memorial stone.
