DGM, State Bank of India Silchar calls on Governor
Aizawl, the 18th December, 2024: Pu Neeraj Kapoor, Deputy General Manager (DGM) of the State Bank of India (SBI), Silchar this evening called on the Governor of Mizoram, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, at the Raj Bhavan to discuss SBI’s initiatives and activities.
In this courtesy meeting, Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati expressed concern about the low participation of Mizoram residents with bank accounts in Social Security Schemes. He underscored the importance of increasing Mudra loans and schemes benefiting the public and urged the bank to provide more accessible loans to those in need. Highlighting the significant progress in the banking sector in recent years, the Governor also encouraged bankers to stress on the financial literacy camps and continued their efforts to educate the public on bank related matters.
Pu Neeraj Kapoor, DGM, SBI Silchar, along with Pu Hubert SZ Khobung, Regional Manager, SBI Aizawl, informed the Governor about the bank’s commitment to enhancing social security schemes and introducing measures to ensure that important schemes are widely accessible to the public in Mizoram.
