    Aizawl, the 7th May, 2026: Mizoram Governor General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd) today inspected the ongoing development works of the Tribal Research Institute (TRI) and the Ropuiliani Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum (RTFFM) at Kelsih, being implemented under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

    During the visit, Governor General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh stressed the importance of preserving tribal culture, heritage and traditions. He urged officials to elevate these institutions to exemplary standards, making them truly worthy destinations for tourists, students and researchers. He directed line departments to develop a comprehensive action plan to achieve this goal and called for strict adherence to a tight timeline to complete all necessary preparations ahead of the inauguration. He also noted several points for further consideration and indicated his intention to visit the sites again in the near future.
