Representatives of Mizoram Hindi Shikshak Sangh meet Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati
Aizawl, the 28th April 2022: The representatives of the Hindi teachers engaged with the state government schools through centrally sponsored schemes met Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati at the Raj Bhavan this forenoon.
After the Governor asked about the issues they have, the representatives of the Mizoram Hindi Shikshak Sangh(CSS) narrated their unfortunate employment history filled with a series of appointments and terminations. Since Hindi language teaching is becoming more and more essential, they suggested they the terms of their engagements with the state government needed to be revised and that they should be assured of job security in the future. They also suggested and recommended the inclusion of the Hindi language as a compulsory subject in the high school curriculum.
During his interaction with the Hindi Teachers, Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati shared his appreciation of his guests and their counterparts in their effort to popularise the Hindi language in the state. He agreed that Hindi as the most popular link language outside Mizoram should be encouraged in the state. However, he also said that even though learning any language should not be discouraged, It should rather be popularised with the need for it and should not be forced on anyone.
