    Aizawl, the 12th March 2022: Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati received briefings on the ongoing Heart Wellness Camp from Brig Digvijay Singh, SM, DIG of 23 Sector Assam Rifles at the Raj Bhavan, this morning.

    For the first time in Mizoram, the Heart Wellness Camp commenced on 10th March 2022, is being organised at Champhai Town with a target to educate people about the importance of Heart health and how to minimize the fatalities in an area like Champhai District where there are no existing healthcare facilities to treat patients with Heart Disease.

    Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, coincidentally a survivor of heart disease himself was pleased to hear the noble services rendered to the local populace by the joint operation of the Assam Rifles, Fortis group of Hospitals and Trinity Hospitals of Aizawl. He stressed the need for more awareness campaigns through medical camps on the wellness of the vital organs in Mizoram. He congratulated the Assam Rifles and the doctors for their valuable contributions to society in promoting health and wellness. He urged the Assam Rifles, popularly known as ‘Friends of the Hill people to continue their good works through their Civil Action programs.

    At the briefing of the Governor, the details of the Heart Health Camp was reported by a team of Doctors from Fortis Group of Hospitals, headed by Dr Vivek Jawli, a renowned Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon
