Governor Designate of Mizoram Visits and Seeks Devine Blessing At Kamakhya Temple In Guwahati

Aizawl, the 15th January, 2025: The Governor-Designate of Mizoram, Gen. (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd.) this forenoon visited the revered Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati to seek the divine blessings of Maa Kamakhya before assuming the responsibilities of Governor of Mizoram. This act of devotion underscores the deep respect for the spiritual and cultural traditions of the region.

During the visit, the Governor-Designate offered prayers to Maa Kamakhya, seeking her grace and guidance to serve the people of Mizoram with dedication, humility and integrity. The visit to one of the most significant Shakti Peeths is a gesture of reverence, symbolizing the importance of divine inspiration in public service.

The Governor-Designate Gen. (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd.) is set to take the oath in an official ceremony on January 16, 2025 at Circular Lawn, Raj Bhavan here in Aizawl to become the 25th Governor of Mizoram, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the leadership of Mizoram.
