Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati leads mass reading of Preamble on Constitution Day 2022
Aizawl, the 26th November 2022: Joining the nationwide celebration of the Constitution Day 2022, a solemn function was held at the Raj Bhavan, Mizoram this forenoon. In this function, Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati led the mass reading of the Preamble to the Constitution of India.
Constitution Day is celebrated every year since 2015 to commemorate the day on which the Constituent Assembly adopted, enacted and gave to ourselves the Constitution of India. In 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on laying the foundation stone for a statue of Dr BR Ambedkar, declared that November 26 to be celebrated every year as Constitution Day. The Constitution Day is expected to be celebrate with the objectives to create awareness about the Indian Constitution and honour its architects.
On constitution day this year, the theme is India : The Mother of Democracy. In this connection, every citizen is invited to participate in Online reading of the Preamble to the Constitution of India in 22 official languages and English (readpreamble.nic.in). The citizens are also invited to participate in Online Quiz on India – The Mother of Democracy ( constitution.nic.in)
