    Vijay Diwas 2022

Aizawl, the 16th December 2022: Participating in the nationwide celebration of India’s victory over Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971, Mizoram also observed the momentous occasion at War Memorial, Treasury Square Aizawl, this morning. Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati led the floral tributes to our fallen heroes at the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971 for the liberation of Bangladesh.

Chief Minister Zoramthanga led the rest of the officials, military officers, and leaders from the Ex-services League in paying homage to our fallen heroes on the battlefield.

Considering the size of the state and its population the contribution of Mizoram is no less than that of bigger states. On this occasion, it may be worth mentioning that the three former Chief Ministers of the State and four MLAs were either defence officers or soldiers.
