    Governor Leads Floral Tributes to Mahatma Gandhi On His 156th Birth Anniversary

    Aizawl, the 2nd October, 2025 : Governor General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd), along with distinguished dignitaries including Acting Chief Minister Pu Vanlalhlana, Mizoram Legislative Assembly Speaker Pu Lalbiakzama, Environment, Forest & Climate Change Minister Pu Lalthansanga and Health & Family Welfare Minister Pi Lalrinpuii, paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, on his 156th birth anniversary. The solemn ceremony took place at 7:30 AM at the PUC Campus in College Veng, Aizawl.

    The event was attended by senior officials, including Chief Secretary Shri Khilli Ram Meena and DGP Shri Sharad Agarwal, who joined in honoring Gandhi’s enduring legacy and principles, widely revered across Mizoram.

    Following the tribute, the Governor and other dignitaries participated in the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign at the PUC Campus, reinforcing their commitment to Gandhi’s vision of cleanliness and service.
