It was a solemn and humbling experience to pay homage to the fallen martyrs, who laid down their precious lives for our Motherland. It is because of their ultimate sacrifices that we are enjoying valuable freedom, peace and development. The country salutes these brave heroes, and we are forever thankful for their selfless acts.

This book is a compilation of the Bravehearts from Mizoram whose names have been inscribed in the National War Memorial. I thank the officials from the Armed Forces for providing their details and data. I also thank the Department of Sainik Welfare & Resettlement, Government of Mizoram for updating the information wherever possible.

This book is dedicated to the brave souls who gave their ‘today’ for our ‘tomorrow’. May their sacrifices never go in vain!

    Jai Jawan! Jai Hind!”
