Governor visits and meets vendors of Local Saturday Market within Tennis Court Area
Aizawl The 10th June 2023: Hon’ble Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati visited Local Saturday Market of Tennis Court Area to have in depth knowledge of how the fruit vendors and vegetable sellers handle their business and to enquire whether these small business units need financial assistance or advice. Bank Officials were also present to offer immediate suggestions during Governor’s visit to the area.
The Governor’s visit to the local Saturday Market was planned before and had been discussed at length on several occasions with the Bankers. Various schemes and assistance programs as well as any available loans to help these small business were also being discussed during such meetings.
At the spot visit, Governor had lively interactions with the vendors and sellers of the Local Saturday Market. He shared the potential to increase the size of their business with assistance from various central schemes such as Mudra Loan and other beneficial assistance that could be availed as loan from the banks. He also urged them to subscribe various social security schemes at minimal annual premium at a very low rate which even the least earner could afford. Furthermore, He advised them to share the ideas and financial advice that they received today with their fellow business partners and friends.
