Mizoram Governor Attends New Year Celebration Service at Aizawl Temple Corps

Aizawl, the 1st January, 2026 : Mizoram Governor General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd), attended a New Year Celebration Service today at the Aizawl Temple Corps.

Addressing the congregation, the Governor General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh extended New Year greetings and warm wishes to the people of Mizoram. He expressed hope that the New Year would bring peace, unity, harmony, and abundant blessings for all. He noted that the New Year should not be viewed merely as a calendar change, but as an opportunity to reflect on the past and renew commitment to moving forward with hope and purpose.

The Governor also highlighted the Salvation Army’s role in putting faith into action, particularly through its dedicated service to the poor, underprivileged, and those in need. He lauded their efforts and urged them to continue and strengthen this noble work in the coming year.
