    Aizawl, April 3, 2025: Mizoram Governor, General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd), today presented tablets as a token of appreciation to six Mizo NCC cadets, four males and two females, who participated in the Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2025 in New Delhi.

    Addressing the cadets, the Mizoram Governor, General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh (Retd) expressed his deep appreciation for the six NCC cadets, who represented Mizoram at the prestigious Republic Day Camp 2025 and brought pride to the state. He encouraged them to serve as role models, inspiring others to join NCC and pursue excellence in their future endeavours. Underscoring the vital role of NCC in nation building, he stated that, “Apart from its impact on employment, it also helps make a person a better individual.” He further urged the cadets to view their current success as just the beginning and to continue striving for greater achievements.

    The six Mizo NCC cadets, who attended the Republic Day Camp 2025 in New Delhi are Junior Under Officer Jacksy Lalhlimsangi and Cadet Laltlanhlua from the 1st Mizo Battalion NCC; Cadet Asraful Haque Laskar from the 2nd Mizo Battalion NCC and Cadet Rohit Kumar, Cadet F. Malsawmtluanga and Cadet Lalremruati from the 1st Mizo Air Squadron NCC. They participated in significant events at the camp, including Kartavya Path, PM Rally, Line Area and the Youth Exchange Programme (Cultural).

    Today’s felicitation ceremony at Raj Bhavan was also attended by Colonel SS Kalia, Nodal Officer, NCC Mizoram & Commanding Officer, 1 Mizo Battalion NCC and Wing Commander Lalrinsanga, Commanding Officer, 1 Mizo Air Squadron NCC.
