Pi PB Lianthangpuii a retired MIS officer takes oath as the new member of MPSC
Aizawl, the 29th February 2024: Pi PB Lianthangpuii, a retired MIS officer, was sworn in as the new member of Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC) at the swearing-in ceremony held at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Aizawl this forenoon. She became the 2nd woman to be appointed as a member of the MPSC.
The proceeding for oath-taking commenced with Pu H.Lalengmawia, Home Commissioner and Chief Secretary-in-Charge who read the warrant of appointment by the Governor. Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati then administered the Oath of Office, Allegiance and Secrecy to Pi PB Lianthangpuii at the ceremony. Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma led the attendance of the high dignitaries. Speaker Pu Lalbiakzama, Lok Ayukta Chairman Pu C.Lalsawta and other dignitaries were among those in attendance at the swearing-in programme.
Pi PB Lianthangpuii holds the degree of M.A. (Pol. Sc.) She joined the Mizoram Information Service in 1989. She is a skilful Public Relations Officer and a highly experienced officer holding several key posts under the Information & Public Relations, Government of Mizoram. She retired on January 31, 2024.
