Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal calls on Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati
Aizawl, the 3rd March 2022: Pu Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and AYUSH who is here on 2 days official visit had called on Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati at the Raj Bhavan, this forenoon.
Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati warmly welcomed Pu Sarbananda Sonowal and thanked him for his keen interest in the development of the AYUSH and potential inland waterways projects in the state. Governor also stressed the critical importance of Bairabi to the Sairang Railways Project and the Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport Project (KMMTTP). These two projects, he believed, will push Mizoram to unprecedented development and projects. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for these projects and for the huge chunk of share earmarked for Mizoram through the PM – DevINE scheme. He also shared with his esteemed guest the eagerness of the state for the early completion of these projects.
During his interaction with the Governor, Pu Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and AYUSH shared his fruitful meeting with Chief Minister Pu Zoramthanga on the potentials of the state in many areas including Bamboo, Inland Waterways and AYUSH. He also said he had important discussions with the officials on inland waterways and AYUSH. Pu Sarbananda Sonowal thanked the warmth and hospitality he received during his official visits and expressed his interest to visit other parts of Mizoram during the next visit.
